Angesichts der großen Rolle aber, die TikTok für die amerikanische LGBTQ+-Community spielt, insbesondre auch für trans Jugendliche, für die Verbreitung von Anti-Waffenlobby-Aktivismus (z.B. bei der Besetzung des State Capitols von Tennessee zuletzt), für linke Agitation allgemein derzeit gerade unter jungen Leuten, die in der Pandemie-Isolation hier ihr Fenster zur Welt und zueinander gefunden haben, hat das noch ganz andere Geschmäckle. I first joined Mastodon in 2018 (even though my old profile says 2016?), so I'd say I've seen a lot of its evolution. I'm on my second private instance now and would definitely consider myself invested in its success. Decentralised social media is so much more web than centralised social media networks ad networks like Twitter and Facebook. In short, I see it as the future for sure.
