I've recently started to watch a bizarre sci-fi show from the 1960s, and got to a two-parter where everyone goes insane, including the ship they travel with through space and time, clocks are melting to signify the loss of their dimension, the outside has turned into white nothingness, and every cast member seems out to kill every other one. Then someone notices that the "travel into the past" button on the ship's control panel got stuck and therefore remained activated until they now got to the very beginning of the universe, and all that time the ship was just trying to alarm everybody about this issue through strange manipulations of psyche and electronic mechanics; problem solved, all happy. I think I'm warming up to it.
